Smokin’ Joe Frazier

by mimshaikh

Joseph William “Joe” Frazier also known as Smokin’ Joe, was an Olympic and Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing champion, whose professional career lasted from 1965 to 1976.

Frazier was diagnosed with liver cancer in late September 2011 and admitted to hospice care. He died November 7, 2011.

Whilst I was on a work placement with BBC Radio Leeds, I got the opportunity to interview Joe Frazier for the West Yorkshire Sport Programme:

He explains how he was the only guy to “Kick Muhammed Ali’s Butt.”

A true boxing legend, rest in peace Joe Frazier.
