Common vs Drake
Ding Ding Ding…looks like the battles have already commenced for 2012.
As you may be aware Common recently released the visuals to his track ‘Sweet’.
Now in the track there are potential shots being taken at Drake.
“Singing all around me man, la la la”, a jibe referring to Drake’s vocal stylings on his own music.
Common told MTV News: “He opened his mouth and said some things, so if that’s what he want—all that subliminal [talk]…you could do that too, but say it now. The verse is about me but when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it’s like you can’t help but think about dude and I guess that’s what he felt. So at the end of day he fits in that category, he already embraced it, so wear it.”
Responding to the controversy after a recent show in Las Vegas, rapper Drake said: “I might sing, but I ain’t no bitch. If Common got something to say, say it to my face.”
The YMCMB rapper recently featured on Rick Ross’ Rich Forever Mixtape and the visuals for the track entitled ‘Stay Schemin’ was released a few days ago.
In the track Drizzy resurrected the feud by saying: “Don’t be ducking like you never wanted nothing/It’s feeling like rap changed… Back when, if a n*gga reached, it was for the weapon/Nowadays n*ggas reach, just to sell they record.”
Common has retaliated with an audio track that was released today called: ‘Stay Schemin Remix’ (Drake Diss)
In the Diss Track Common states: ‘I heard you say, you wasn’t a b*tch cuz you sing/You a b*tch cuz you cling, like a b*tch that’s 18!
Make no mistake, I’m talkin’ to Drake’
Now lets wait whether Drake is gonna come hard and hit us up with that all important comeback!
